The Sellita movement inside our Ligure watch is certainly one of the most popular and reliable calibers in the world of mid-level watchmaking. Sellita has collaborated with ETA for a long time for the production of their movements. The SW200 caliber comes from old patents of the ETA 2824 caliber. It is equipped with Novodiac machine-stop and anti-shock.

The SW200 caliber inside our Ligure watch is Swiss Made. Although a movement does not necessarily have to be produced in Switzerland entirely; the updated law on 1 January 2017, says that some characteristics must be respected:

Assembly in Switzerland, Inspection in Switzerland, Swiss parts for at least 60% (previously 50%)

Not all watch manufacturers can afford the time and expenses required to create their own GMT movements: Enter the tried and tested Swiss movement suppliers. The most frequently-used GMT movements are the ETA 2893-2

The ETA2893-2 H5 movement is considered a top-notch GMT movement. A GMT function is a particularly useful complication for frequent travelers or people who work with different time zones because it allows you to track a second time zone simultaneously. This means that it has an extra hand that follows a 24-hour path around the outside of the dial. The LIGURE GMT also has a date wheel, plus an anti-shock mechanism that helps it maintain accuracy even when receives knocks and jolts. Meanwhile, its second hand will sweep smoothly at a satisfying eight ticks per second.
